We listen, act, and transform
I am a licensed mental health therapist with an extensive background in multiple areas. The client-centered approach has been most effective in achieving the goals of my clients. My education has currently drawn me to developmental psychology; in which I will be receiving my 2nd Masters degree. Understanding the stages of life assists in understanding the present behaviors of my clients. I have expertise in addictions, mood disorders, LGBTQ issues to name a few. I have worked with the court systems (e.g., Drug Court, Probation, Incarcerations); which provides insight if needed.
I have lived abroad; which has increased my cultural sensitivity and have had various careers (e.g., HS School Teacher, Addictions Counselor, Hospitality, Hospital Admin Asst, Ofc Mgr).
Therapeutic rapport is built from and in a non-judgmental, unbiased, and confidential atmosphere.
I have many techniques/methods in my therapeutic toolbox, but mindfulness, meditation, and mantras appear to be effective in numerous disorder spectrums. I look forward to working with you.
In the words of Gandhi, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
